What do you think of Application Sheets?

You know those templates that Roleplay Groups get you to draw your characters on?

I'd really love to know what makes a "good" one in your opinion! Do you prefer them simple, so your character can be the focus, or do you think they should be a piece of art as well? Do you like bright colours or muted colours? Straight boxes to draw in or circles and other funky shapes? This also includes the content too; do you like having a bunch of character info on your application sheet so people can see what your oc is like without digging through text, or do you prefer to write stuff out in the description and want to keep the picture simple to avoid having to edit an image file all the time? Basically I'd just like to know what makes you look at an App Template and go "I wanna draw on that", or what makes you just deadass go "no thanks".

It's so cool how much they vary, but as soon as I have to design one I don't even know where to start pfft

Things have gotten pretty busy, so I should probably update on here haha

Exam week stretched real long - I only got to go home today, and there's some stuff I gotta catch up on with my family. Just making a shout out to apologize to everybody I'm in a roleplay with right now, because I'm going to be a while before I can respond at the usual pace again. I am currently in a Secret Santa in the PT group though, so if anyone from there is reading this I promise I'll still have my part up in time ( lol so glad I sketched it out in advance )

Since I plan on getting more active on DeviantArt again now that I've finally graduated, I wanted to start cleaning up my page. It's still a mess right now but I figured a good place to start would be by making a journal skin. Sooo I'm just testing this one out, hence the long-winded explanations. I just need text in this box.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry's standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. Hey Guys!
Me and CaptainClovey have been working on a pretty cool project for the past few months, and before posting some of the stuff we've made, we're trying to rally up some points. The page may look pretty empty currently, but the plan is to keep from putting anything out there until we're ready. A ton of work has already been done for it though, so we're REALLY EXCITED. We're planning for it to be big, and even though we're itching to show you all the art and writing that's been done for it, there's still a few more things we need; the first of which being points.

So, I'm going to try filling up an ACEO sheet - and if any of you guys would be interested in sending over some points, I'd love to add your character to the page! I've got 7 slots on here, and for 400 :points: I'll add a cell-shaded bust of your character similar to the one below that I completed. Sorry if it seems like a bit much, though these guys actually take a while with lineart, shading, and backgrounds considered XD



If you're interested just drop a comment down below with a link to the character, as well as if you'd prefer a certain colour or theme for their square. All points will go towards the group, and you'll have my eternal gratitude.
